I’m Ece Irmak Tulçalı. I was born in Izmir, Turkey, and grew up in Bodrum.

I studied Photography at Dokuz Eylül University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. My creative path has never been linear.I started with design, shifted into photography, and kept following whatever felt closest to my inner world. Music, emotions, and personal experiences have always been at the center of what I create.

Over the years, my practice has moved through different forms: from documenting life with my phone, to building a more professional career with a camera, and later exploring underwater worlds through diving. Each stage left traces that still influence me today.

Now I’m based in Barcelona, pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Arts and Creative Technologies at La Salle University. I’m opening myself to new ways of making art, working with digital media and interactive tools, and searching for forms of expression that move beyond traditional photography.

For me, art is an ongoing dialogue between what I live, what I feel, and the mediums I choose to express them.I draw inspiration from nature, its imperfect perfection, its micro and macro worlds, its organic textures, and the deep sea. I love bending reality, playing with time, exploring dreams, and noticing the hidden art forms in everyday life. Through this, I’m curious about how technology and nature can be brought together, while also caring deeply about the sustainability of their coexistence.
